I'm confused too. Didn't we hear Daniel in the video with Chang that was shown at Comic-Con? There wasn't time for that that to happen yet.

To tell you the truth, I guessed pretty much everything without the spoilers so I did find it to be a disappointing "highpoint of the season" as Damon called it. Definitely not on Dead is Dead's level.

Well, I think the latest interview with Darlton had Cuse saying that the comic con video shouldn't be taken as canon as it just lets us know what the following season will have a focus on i.e. promotional.

im confused, why did Eloise send Daniel back to the island if she knew he was going to die? She wanted him dead?

she did that because its "HIS DESTINY" that is why Eloise was crying in the beginning of the episode because she knows her son will die in the future and it was her going to kill him. She does not want to change the future because she knows that time will course correct it self. She sacrificed her son for the the islands sake.

when dan first got shot, i thought he had shot richard but because of richard's magical powers, the bullet had appeared in dans body. i was like OMG best thing ever! then i saw eloise and i was like

Okay, didn't Daniel meet Richard in 1954? It didn't look like Richard remembered Daniel in 1977... Since Richard is ageless, could there also be multiple copies of him, so the 1977 copy is not the same as the 1954 copy?

I'm hoping Jack is going to come out of the bushes where he is hiding with Kate and save Daniel. Can Jack 'fix' Daniel? Jack seemed to have medical supplies in his knapsack, as in 'this is going to sting' when tending to Daniel's neck injury.
Is this why Jack followed Daniel and not Sawyer to the beach? Jack had some purpose to fill in saving Daniel's life ?

Daniel's shot up in my favourite character list from quite low to about ten-ish. That's a major compliment with the likes of Ben around

I'd have to watch again, but I got the impression Richard pretended for a moment not to recognise him. No idea why he'd do that though. Daniel definitely recognised him.

I saw it differently. I saw a look of realization on Richard's face that he had seen this person before and it was taking a while to register. He had seen him so briefly and such a long time before that, so it didn't surprise me that he didn't remember right away.

If she raised him in the US and he went to US schools in his childhood, he would pick up an American accent.
